El domingo pasado hacía bastante frío aquí en Barcelona, y había un viento muy pero que muy fuerte... Vamos, que parecía estar en Milán!
Sin embargo, el pálido sol invernal que a ratos hacía su aparición desde detrás de las nubes nos animó a dar un paseo por la playa de la Barceloneta, hasta el hotel Vela!
Desde luego pasamos un frío increíble, pero también hicimos un descubrimiento gastronómico muy interesante: GALLITO!
Este restaurante, como muchos otros entré los cuales el Pez Vela (que ya mencionamos aquí), está directamente en la playa abajo del Hotel W. Los sábados y domingos está abierto y ofrece una amplia carta, con platos de pescado, cafetería y tapas para picar.
Nosotros probamos las bravas y la hamburguesa americana, y tengo que decir que esta última fue una de las mejores hamburguesas que comí en BCN!!!
El ambiente es muy agradable, con una bonita terraza con plantas aromáticas por fuera, y almohadas y mesas country-style por dentro. En fin, el sitio perfecto para un domingo tarde en la playa (aunque siga haciendo frío!)!!!
Last Sunday it was quite cold here in Barcelona, and a strong, freezing wind was blowing... It seemed like staying in Milan!
Nonetheless, the pale winter sun was spotting out of the clouds from time to time, and this made us brave enough to go out and have a stroll to Barceloneta; we were really cold, but rewarded by the discover of GALLITO!
This restaurant, like many others (among which Pez Vela, that we already presented), is located below the famous W Hotel. It's open even on Sundays (not so common for BCN) and offers a wide menu with fish, brunch-like dishes, and many tapas!
We tried the "patatas bravas" and the American hamburger, and this was one of the best I have ever eaten in Barcelona!
The place is very cozy, with a nice terrace and country-style tables and a lot of pillows inside. Though still cold, this place is perfect for a Sunday afternoon at the beach :)
